Michael Woodhouse has been a keen walker from an early age influenced by his family – all keen advocates of outdoor pursuits including backpacking and exploring new areas.  Long Sunday rambles featured regularly throughout his childhood and started a long term love of walking.  Introduced to the Peak National Park as a child it has always been a firm favorite; the varied landscapes offering a range of walking to suit the mood on the day, as well as the weather!  Other areas visited include the Arctic Circle, the Canadian Rockies, Yosemite Park in USA and the West Highlands of Scotland where demanding yet rewarding climbs and walks have been enjoyed.  When not out walking he can be seen playing rugby or performing quality control checks on local public houses….   Very important research for Peak Explorers….
